Irish writer Paul Murray and comedian Fern Brady are the winners of their respective categories in the inaugural Nero book awards.

The Bee Sting by Paul Murray won in the fiction category, while Strong Female Character by Fern Brady won in the nonfiction category. [ more ]

Paul Murray, Eleanor Catton, and Fern Brady are among the authors shortlisted for the inaugural Nero book awards.

The winners of each category will be announced in January, with the overall winner of the Nero Gold prize announced in February.

The shortlist includes a mix of established authors and debut novelists from Ireland and the UK. [ more ]
